Whether you’re exploring faith for the first time, returning to church, or looking for a community to call home, you’re welcome at Fairview.
Our church's desire is to make known the Good News of Jesus Christ. We want all who come through our doors to know His message and witness His love, and to find strength, peace, and hope in the One who has made us. Together, we seek to grow in our faith and to develop a personal relationship with Jesus in a community that cares deeply for one another.
Every Sunday at 11 a.m.
Our worship service lasts about an hour.
1708 West 16th Avenue, Vancouver
Our worship has a calm, welcoming atmosphere. The service includes prayers with spoken responses from the congregation, a scripture reading from the Bible, and a sermon exploring that week’s passage. We make time to pray together, make space for silence, and sing songs of worship.
We sing a mix of traditional hymns and contemporary worship songs. Our Music Ministry is made of piano, clarinet, guitar, and violin, and our choir also shares an anthem during the service.
We celebrate communion once a month, and everyone is invited to take part.
An offering is collected during worship, but there no expections to give.
Our parking lot can be entered from West 16th Avenue. There are two entrances to the church:
Pine Street: Enter directly into the sanctuary.
West 16th Avenue: Come inside, go up the stairs, and turn right to find the sanctuary.
At both entrances to the upstairs sanctuary you will find the service's bulletin. Pick one up for the order of service, then come in, find a seat, and enjoy God's presence. Don't be surprised if regular congregants introduce themselves before or after worship - we love to get to know everyone who comes to worship with us.
Children aged 5–12 are invited to our weekly Sunday school, which takes place during the worship service. Through Bible stories, activites, and arts and crafts, children learn the foundations of the Christian faith.
After every Sunday service, we gather downstairs for coffee, refreshments, and conversation. It’s a relaxed opportunity to meet people and ask questions. Our pastor also has time to meet and talk with people after worship.
Some weeks we host community meals, prayer walks or prayer meetings, and everyone is welcome to attend.
We love getting to know people, sharing meals, and showing up when someone needs support. We hope you’ll find friends who care about you and encourage you as you seek Christ.
An accessible parking space and a ramp into the sanctuary are available at the Pine Street entrance. Washrooms are on the same floor as the sanctuary.
To reach the downstairs coffee area without using stairs, you’ll need to go back outside, follow Pine Street to West 16th Avenue, and enter through the West 16th Avenue entrance.
We’d be glad to hear from you. If you have any questions about Sunday worship, bringing your children, or accessing the building, email admin@fairviewbaptistvancouver.ca.
We’d love to welcome you and worship together with you this Sunday.
